Shreenath Metchem was founded in Jodhpur in 1988, on one of India's richest belts of high-calcium limestone. In over 35 years we have stayed with one product category: industrial lime. Everything we ship is made at our own plant, from limestone drawn out of the same belt we started with.
That focus is deliberate. Limestone quality sets the ceiling on what finished lime can be, so working from one raw material in one place is what lets us hold a grade steady from batch to batch. Every batch is tested before it is dispatched, and a buyer who approved our 90% grade two years ago gets the same material today.

We manufacture Hydrated Lime in six grades from 80% to 96% Ca(OH)2, Quick Lime Lumps at 85% to 90% CaO, and Quick Lime Powder ground to 325 mesh. Tell us the application and we will recommend the grade.
Our lime goes to steel, water treatment, chemical, paper, sugar, AAC block, construction and environmental plants across India and overseas, dispatched by road and rail from Jodhpur.
We began in 1988 with calcined lime alone. Hydrated Lime and the fine 325-mesh powder came later, as buyers asked for them, and the six-grade range grew out of the same demand.
Today that limestone becomes three things:
- Hydrated Lime, slaked into six grades from 80% to 96% Ca(OH)2, at 250 to 400 mesh
- Quick Lime Lumps, calcined to 85% to 90% CaO, magnesia and silica at or below 1.5%
- Quick Lime Powder, ground to 325 mesh and around 30 microns for even dispersion
Six grades exist because a water treatment plant, a sugar mill and an AAC block producer do not need the same material, and should not have to pay for the same material. Tell us the application and we will recommend the grade.

From Limestone to Loading Bay
Every grade we ship passes through the same five stages at our Jodhpur facility.
Calcination
High-purity Rajasthan limestone is fired in the kiln to produce Quick Lime (CaO).
Grinding
Ground to 325 mesh, around 30 μm, or left in lump form for steelmaking.
Hydration
Slaked into Hydrated Lime, six grades from 80% to 96% at mesh 250 to 400.
Packing
Filled into 25 kg and 40 kg HDPE bags, or 1000 kg FIBC jumbo bags for bulk orders.
Dispatch
By road and rail from Jodhpur to industrial buyers in India and overseas.
How We Keep Quality Consistent
Every grade is manufactured to a defined specification and dispatched only once it meets it. The limits we publish on each product page cover purity, magnesia, silica, moisture and fineness, and we hold to them batch after batch. All three documents below are available on request.
